Each year we have Savannah take her picture next to the Easter Bunnies that Great Grandaddy gave us the year that she was born. Take a look at how much she has grown each year!

Happy Easter!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We traveled to Port Charlotte, FL on Good Friday and were there visiting with Great Grandad Stewart and Thomas until Easter Monday. Vince was able to meet his namesake and Savannah was glad to pick oranges and grapefruits from the trees out back. The Easter bunny came to visit and brought real dyed eggs for her basket along with a special $2 bill and lots of goodies. Vince received some play toys and a lullaby CD that we look forward to playing.

After our weekend in Port Charlotte, we headed across the state to Orlando to visit with the Coe family. We had a wonderful visit with Honey and Uncle Harold, Mary Beth and the girls, and our wonderful hosts, Hal and Mark. Hal was able to clear part of his schedule so that we could all have our teeth cleaned. 2/3s of the family had a clean bill of health...let's just say that I have to plan another trip to Orlando soon!

Jeff and Savannah went to the Sanford Zoo, just north of Orlando, and they had a great time. She was glad to see the elephants, tortoises, bald eagles, and lots of other animals. Vince and I hung out with Aunt Jean/Honey and enjoyed some downtime and visiting.

Both of the kids did very well on the road trip. We were able to stop in Gainesville and visit with Uncle John for lunch which helped break up the trip home. Traffic wasn't too bad considering that we were in Florida at Easter and the peak of Spring Break. We were sure glad to be home and try to get back on our schedules. Savannah starts back to school this week and Vince is now eligible for Parents Morning Out since he is 6 weeks...mom just isn't ready for that!

This week is the Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon and G-Mama is coming to visit so we hope to have lots of great pictures to post from the event.

A Visit to Fickling & Company

Vince and I went to Fickling & Company where I worked for 8 years and we were able to visit with many of the REALTORS after sales meeting. A girl named Robin took these really cool pictures of Vince's hands and feet. You might see them on our announcements if I ever get them ordered!

Charleston Plantation Easter Egg Hunt

Poe came over to the house to watch Vince so that Mom and Savannah could go to the neighborhood egg hunt. Savannah did really well-she actually listened and didn't put any of the eggs in her basket before the hunt started! The Easter bunny showed up and after a little coercing, she got her picture made with him. I think that she wanted the free bubbles more than the picture with the bunny! Savannah will have her school Easter Egg Hunt this coming Friday morning and we hope to have some good pictures from that. Hopefully by then I will have an outfit ironed for her to wear and she will be looking cute in a nice Spring outfit.

Vince's One Month Checkup

Vince got a "gold star" for his visit to Dr Bush on March 12. His weight is up to 9 lbs and his length is 22 inches. When he was born he was 7 lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long. He received one shot and did really well with that. Hopefully he will be as brave as Savannah when he gets his shots over the next four years!

A Trip To Charlotte

Vince taking his morning nap Mom, Savannah, and Vince at G-Mama's

G-Mama and the kids

After a little bit of thought, I made a trip with both kids to Charlotte last Wednesday and have just returned to Macon. The normally 5 hour trip took about 6.5 hours, but we had a nice lunch in Atlanta and several stops between Gaffney and Charlotte; oh, and hitting Charlotte at 5pm is something to re-think for our next adventure back to the Queen City! We all had a wonderful time-in fact, Savannah decided to stay with Nana and Grandaddy until Wednesday and ride to Macon with Nana when she comes to help me with the MOPS consignment sale this weekend.

Savannah enjoyed spending time in Denver, NC with her grandparents and even got to go to Kindergarten and First Grade classes. From what I understand, she slept very well on Thursday and Friday nights after being at Nana's school.

Saturday night Vince stayed with Nana and Grandaddy and Savannah stayed with G-Mama and me. It sure was nice for Savannah to have 100% attention from us-she loved her new bath toys and Princess story book that G-Mama bought for her...she wanted to take a bath at 4pm, just so that she could play with her new toys.

We'll be venturing on a road trip in the next couple of weeks to visit family and friends in Florida. In the meantime, we'll try to take some pictures and keep you updated on our going-ons!

Bath Time For Vince!

Savannah and Mom gave Vince a good bath in the kitchen sink. Savannah has been a wonderful helper-going and getting diapers, pacifiers, bath towels, and burp cloths. She has even picked him up from the bassinet when he was crying and carried him over to the sofa...I was very apprehensive to witness that! We try to involve her in all the aspects of a newborn baby and I think she is adjusting pretty well to the fact that she is no longer an only child with 100% of the attention.

She has learned how to play http://www.noggin.com/ on the computer and she often times plays her games while I am feeding Vince or trying to get him in bed. We are planning a trip to Charlotte, NC tomorrow (WED) for time with aunts, uncle, and grandparents for a long weekend. I am hopeful for a trip with only a few glitches along the way...
