Our Hosts with the Mosts!

Anne is one of Hal and Mark's neighbors and loved holding Vince!
She came over at 7:30 on Saturday morning to see him before we left town
Changed into the travelling clothes and ready for the road!

Many thanks to Cousins Hal and Mark and Aunt Jean and Uncle Harold for their hospitality this past week! Vince and I stayed with Hal and Mark while Savannah and G-Mama stayed at Honey and Uncle Harold's for the duration-it was very nice of Cousin Mary Beth to bring her girls over to play and help entertain Savannah while I was at my dentist appointments...that is a plural! (too much to do in one day, so we had to break it up)

G-Mama's cousins Roy and Darlene came to visit from Bushnell, FL one morning and everyone enjoyed visiting with them. Cousin Jordan came over for a few nights and hung out with the family and Savannah loved playing with her in the pool! We all had a great time being able to enjoy our time together, grilling out, and just laughing. Thanks again!

Vince's Baptism

Vince in his 6th outfit of the day...

Thanks for taking the pictures for us!

The whole family-Gary and Lin, G-Mama, and Grandaddy and Nana all came from NC; John, Aunt Jean and Uncle Harold, Hal and Mark all drove up from Florida
This was during the service, just before it was our turn. Vince finished the bottle just before showtime!

Hanging out at the house!

We are all very grateful that the baptism was scheduled for today rather than last Sunday with the bad weather! Everything went well today with Vince...he fell asleep just before we had to leave for the church, but we allowed him to get about a 35 minute nap. Just as we were walking into the sanctuary he got fussy and hungry, but a bottle solved the problem. Fortunately, we were scheduled for the beginning of the service and he was a perfect gem! He fell asleep shortly afterwards and was evidently pretty tired...he slept through 3 hymns with the organ playing!!

We had a wonderful visit with our families and are truly blessed to have them all. We appreciate all of their travelling to Macon to be with us for this special time in Vince's life. We hope you enjoy the pictures!

If it wasn't for our some of our local friends (Katie and Ani) we wouldn't be able to share these pictures with you. Thanks very much for taking the pictures for us, I hope this acknowledgement works for the picture credits that you each requested...

Weather Issues in Macon

Savannah in the tree at a house on Audubon in North Macon
This used to be a Blazer-we thought it was a pickup truck that got smashed-check out the root ball on this thing...it's as tall as the carport!
Looks like the Lorax came through the campus at Macon State

As some of you are aware, there was a tornado that passed through Macon yesterday (Happy Mother's Day). There was significant amount of damage to Macon State College and the power is out at the Stewart house...

Jeff is in Savannah (which is how I am making this post) while Laura Ann and the kids are hanging out in Macon but with no power. Things should be back to normal later this week (either tonight or tomorrow, hopefully).

We will post pictures as soon as power is back up and connection to the internet is restored...

Power is up and running at the house and these pictures were taken with my new camera that Vince and Savannah gave me for Mother's Day! Please keep the folks of Macon in your thoughts and prayers. We have church members who have had substantial damage to their homes.

Camera on the blink

The Easter Egg Hunt

Moments With Mom at School

Christmas Program for School

Savannah and Marshall

It seems that whenever we have an important function to attend, we either forget the camera or the batteries tend to "die" two pictures into the event. Thankfully, Marshall's mom is at most of the events and has a super fast camera and takes pictures of Savannah for me. She recently gave me a disk that had some cool pictures from the Christmas program (the camera worked just fine at this, we just sat on the farthest pew from where Savannah was singing and our zoom is for the birds), Easter Egg Hunt (batteries did die), and the Moments with Mom at school a few weeks ago (I wanted to use the camcorder rather than camera!). So, they are dated pictures, but they were awesome and I wanted to share them with you.

Have a wonderful Mother's Day!

St.Simons Island and Pre-School Sunday

What a week we've had! Last weekend the kids and I met my friend Jennifer Martin and her 4 yr old son, Carson, at St. Simons. We had a wonderful time and the weather was beautiful! The water was cold, at the beach and the pool, but that didn't stop Savannah from getting in the water. Vince and I got in the pool and went about chest deep, but that was all either of us could bear.

This past week we went strawberry picking for the third time this season. Savannah is picking more strawberries each time we go, but she is more worried about when we'll be finished so that she can get homemade strawberry ice cream (in a cone-no cups for her!). We also invited The Gunns and The Jordans to the lot across the street to play in the sand pile and the "canyon" as Evan calls it. Everyone had a blast and was worn out that evening.

Today was Pre-School Sunday at church. Savannah was front and center and we were fortunate that she didn't knock over the Communion Table! They sang 3 songs and she paid better attention this time than she did for the Christmas program. The pictures are a little blury, but you get the idea that she was at least facing forward and her dress wasn't over her face!

We don't have much on the agenda for this week, but it might end up being the most hectic week we've had in a while. Savannah still enjoys her gymnastics classes on Wednesday afternoons and will be taking swim lessons from Mrs Julie again this summer. Have a wonderful week!
