Wilson's Baptism Weekend

We spent last weekend in Charlotte for Wilson to be baptized at Sardis Presbyterian, where Gary and I were both baptized, and the church that we grew up in. Wilson did great during the service and it was nice to spend time with Lin's side of the family. Aunt Jean and Uncle Harold were also there and we enjoyed seeing them again.
Savannah really likes to play dress-up these days; she especially likes it at G-Mama's house because she has lots of old costume jewelry and one of my grandmother's wigs! Both of the kids had their hair cut while we were there and Vince still doesn't like for his hair to be cut. I guess we'll have to start cutting his while he is asleep or something!
We head back to Charlotte in two weeks for my friend Leigh's baby shower and I am looking forward to that. I hope that the kids will do as well this trip as they did last time...still, 5 hours in the car all strapped in is difficult for anyone, regardless of how many cool movies and shows they can watch.

Our birthday month is only a few days away, so check back for birthday party pictures on here!

Screen Time

My desktop computer's power something or other went out the first week of December. You know, right as I was finishing up my Christmas card list, but before I printed out the labels...Anyway, we were able to have the data backed up to CDs and just today I picked up the computer from Best Buy after the Geek Squad worked on it.

Yes, those are black olives...

I am glad to have it back. I enjoy working on a desktop as opposed to a laptop: the keys are spaced out, there is a separate number pad on the right, and the mouse works much better than the touch pad. The laptop is nice, don't get me wrong! It even has a "touch screen" so when Savannah would point to it and say "go there" it would take us there, often times sooner than I wanted to leave "my" site.

Happy rest of January!

Hanging Out With Luke

Savannah's friend, Luke, has been riding to and from school with us the past week and the kids love having him come over in the morning and stay late in the afternoons. He and Savannah were in Pre-K together last year and he lives across the street from us. When he comes in, Vince gets so excited and shouts Luuuuuke...Luuuuuke...Luuuuuke! Luke even attempted to help brush Vincey's teeth before school yesterday and he helped pick out his clothes to wear. He'll be a great babysitter in a few years!

We exchanged Christmas gifts with him at the end of last week-he gave Savannah a Christmas ornament of a piano since we have one here and he and Savannah always like to play it. Savannah and Vince gave him a Bubble Rocket Launcher and we all tested it out that day. They seemed to enjoy it and Vince loved chasing the bubbles in the driveway.

Happy New Year!

In my haste to prepare for Thanksgiving, I didn't get to post many pictures (or any) of our trip to Stone Mountain. We stayed there at the park and we all had a great time. Friday night we went up to the top of Stone Mountain to take a look around and enjoy being outside. The kids had a ball running and playing.
As we were awaiting the ride back down, Vince puked all over Jeff. The worst thing was that the diaper bag was in the car. Oooops! Luckily we all had on layers, so Jeff got out of his sweatshirt, I gave my sweatshirt to Savannah, and she gave her shirt to Vincey to wear until we got to the bottom. We were very fortunate that he threw up 2 minutes before boarding rather than on it. Little did we know that he had a stomach bug...we realized it on Thanksgiving Day because I contracted it.
