Spring Is Here!

Savannah playing at the Hephzibah Home playground

I am trying to teach Savannah to step and throw

Spring has arrived, and so has all of the pollen. Both kids have been fighting congestion and runny noses, but have been in good spirits otherwise. We have just finished the MOPS Consignment Week, and all went well with that. I served as a publicity person, so much of my work was completed in the weeks leading up to the sale. I did get lots of stuff tagged and put in the sale this time, so it will be nice to get a check in a few weeks!

Vince is not officially walking yet, but he does walk about 15 steps before plopping back down to the floor. He has realized that he can still move pretty fast "scootching" across the floors, so he would rather do that. He doesn't talk much, but is good at pointing and saying "this". He has managed to say "stop" and "no" a few times...those words he learned from hearing them so much from Savannah!

Savannah is reading more and more words now and has been enjoying riding her bike in the afternoons. Maybe by the summer time she will be riding without her training wheels!

The Cherry Blossom Festival is in full-swing now and we hope to visit Central City Park again later in the week. I also had some pictures taken of the kids by Robin Cook and I have included a few of those below.

Peek-A-Boo

Yesterday Vince and I were over at our neighbor/friend/church-member's house, and he was playing in the dirt in their backyard while we visited on the patio. Robin and I have been on several scrapbooking trips, so she grabbed her camera and took all of these for me, knowing that they would make a great page for him!

After he was done playing in the dirt, he wanted to play Peek-A-Boo, his favorite game. He used the patio table to "hide" his face, when we said "where's Vincey?" and then he would pop up and we'd say "there he is!". He loves this game-he could be in the middle of fussing and carrying on, and we say "where's Vincey?" and his face lights up.
Where's Vincey....
...There he is!

I have a feeling that our lives will change a great deal in the next couple of weeks...Vince is about to start walking on his own. He makes pretty good time with his "scootching" that he does, but we know that he will be quick once he is vertical. He loves to be outside, especially in the front yard (where it isn't fenced). We are enjoying beautiful spring-like weather here and the Bradford pears are about to bloom. The cherry blossom festival is just around the corner and we look forward to lots of great posts and pictures then!

This was right after church before it started sticking to the ground

WOW, who would've thought that it would really accumulate here? It's been great weather the past few days and we figured that the ground was too warm to stick, but it sure has! Here are some pictures from today.

Savannah had her fifth (and final) birthday to celebrate her 5th birthday. We went to Sportz Quest and all of the kids had a blast! I was glad that it was cold and rainy outside so that it would legitimize my having an indoor party...it had been 70 degrees for most of the week. She also wanted a GO DIEGO GO party (the same as last year), so that made it pretty easy for me. We did add a pinata this year-what's a Dora or Diego party without a pinata?!
