Batter UP!

Vince and Savannah are both playing ball this year in Forsyth. Vince is playing T-ball and his team name is the "Little Rascals" and Savannah is on the "Jaguars". Savannah knew a few girls on her team from school and the school system gifted program and she has really enjoyed playing so far this year. Vince had his first practice last night and he was a little overwhelmed, to say the least. He shed a few tears and wanted me on the field with him the whole time running bases and fielding balls. I think what bothered him the most was the coach blowing the whistle over and over again. He doesn't like loud noises unless he is the one making them.

Spring has Sprung, Or Is It Summer?

It's been in the mid 80s for the past five days and we have had little rain. My white car has a nice tint of yellow each day and my sinuses are bothering me! The Cherry Blossom Festival kicked off on St. Patrick's Day. We enjoyed the Tunes and Balloons at Macon State College (Jeff's work), and Savannah danced with the Dancing Bears at the Macon Mall earlier in the day. "Laughing Pizza", a family band that is on PBS was at the mall doing a small show, then they were doing a full-fledged show at the Cox Theatre in Macon as part of the Cherry Blossom Festivities. I'll Say It Again, He's a Boy.

Savannah is playing softball in Forsyth, GA and she had a practice on Monday night. While she and I were on the field, Vince was playing on the adjoining playground and fell against the slide. He had been playing hard for about 45 minutes and I guess wore himself out! Anyway, here is a nice little picture of the bottom of his chin. It didn't bleed/break the skin, but I am guessing it will be a nice sized bruise! Did I mention that we are having family pictures done on Sunday?

I can't believe that we are already two months into 2012 and I still can't remember to write 2012 on my checks! Just when I get used to doing it, 2013 will be around the corner. Savannah started softball last night and she loves her new team, the Jaguars. She is playing in Forsyth rather than Macon this year and knew two or three girls on her team. Vince starts t-ball soon too, he is looking forward to playing baseball. He hits left handed and throws right handed. We'll see if it lasts.

 Sammy graduated from Puppy School today. He still jumps though, so look out!

Other than that, not much to report! It's nice that things have slowed down from the birthday parties!
