Sea World and Disney World

We made a whirlwind trip to Orlando to visit cousins, friends, and lots of characters (not to be confused with family)! Savannah had a wonderful time at Sea World and loved dining with Shamu. We were right next to his pool and even met one of his trainers. She was so excited to have gotten splashed by him too.

Monday was our day at Epcot and lunch with the Princesses in Norway. Rebecca Anderson and her two year old son, Grant, met us there and she was a fantastic tour guide! Since she has two boys, she never met any of the princesses, so it was a real treat for her and Grant to see them all. Who would've thought that I would be telling someone else who all the princesses were?! (especially someone I grew up with who knew that I was all about the Dukes of Hazzard, riding dirt bikes, and being a tom-boy!) We were able to ride Soarin', the hang gliding ride, and Savannah really enjoyed doing that. Travelling to Disney in mid-January is an ideal time to go-nice tolerable weather and short lines at even the best rides! After a long day at the park, Savannah and I both went to bed about 7:30pm and slept all night.

Tuesday we dined at "Chef Mickey" in the Contemporary Hotel before heading over to the Magic Kingdom for the day. We all enjoyed that very much and were at the Magic Kingdom to see them open the park. Savannah and Jeff rode Big Thunder Mountain and she loved the roller coaster-she wasn't scared a bit! She was upset that she wasn't tall enough to ride Space Mountain...it'll be another year or two before she hits the 44 inch mark. We left the park around 2:45 on Tuesday and Savannah was asleep in her carseat before 3:15 and slept for about 2 hours! She was worn flat out after going hard for 4 straight days.
