Enjoying the summer!

Vince is starting to get a tooth on the bottom left-he is constantly chewing on fingers!

Vince hanging out on the floor in the laundry room, right after he spit up about 6 oz of milk!

Vince is getting a little better at eating-I have been mixing some rice cereal with applesauce and he likes that very much. He has also had turkey with turkey broth, sweet potatoes, and green beans. So far, everything has been a hit! Savannah is a great big sister to Vince. She loves to help and interact with him. When we read books, he sits on one leg and she sits on the other...he will try to grasp her hand and she allows him to pull her hair too. Right now she is tolerant, hopefully it will continue.

Savannah is in school Monday through Thursday, so the Jordans invited us over to their house for some backyard fun. Savannah enjoyed playing with Evan in the pool and on the playset-they each like playing pretend, so yesterday's setting was Neverland starring Peter Pan and Wendy. In the picture Alex is wearing Vince's "dew-rag" which is also a pirate hat. Alex kept saying "grrrr" when we first put it on him.

Mid-June Update

Savannah told her teachers that we got her this shirt from our trip. They asked her what it said and she looked down like she was reading it and replied "out of town"

We have had a busy week-Jeff and I went to a conference out in Las Vegas last Tuesday and returned late Saturday night. Nana and the kids had a great time while we were gone! Savannah and Nana decorated this cake for us and we have been enjoying it for the past couple of days.
Vince had his 4 month checkup today. He weighs 14 lbs and is 26 and 1/4 inches long now. I hope to find Savannah's sheets from when she was his age so that we can compare the two of them. We got the "go-ahead" from Dr Bush to feed Vince rice cereal, so I have included a few pictures from that. I couldn't tell if he actually liked the mixture or not-he is teething and I think the rubbery spoon felt great against his gums. Be sure to notice how much cereal was on his bib! In the pictures he looks a little puney. He got 4 shots at the doctor's office today and isn't feeling well this afternoon. Maybe tomorrow I will have better pictures to document his feedings!

Before he started eating. Bib compliments of G-Mama from Alaska!

Savannah took this picture of me feeding Vince. He looks dazed!

Happy Father's Day!

Savannah, Evan, and Alex enjoying strawberry ice cream cones on the front porch

The Jordan's came to visit one day last week and we had some ice cream cones. The kids loved eating them after playing in the sprinkler. I think they all slept well that night! Vince enjoyed sitting in his bouncy seat on the back porch under the ceiling fan.

We have had a wonderful weekend-Nana and Grandaddy came to town on Friday afternoon and spent Father's Day Weekend with us. Grandaddy flew back to Charlotte today and Nana will be in Macon for the week.

Jeff and Savannah rode to church together yesterday and she often times likes to say short prayers in the car. She prayed yesterday: "Jesus, please wish God a Happy Father's Day." Have a wonderful week, we look forward to posting more soon!

Swimming Lessons

They dive through this hoop and then she leads them to the side of the pool with it

We didn't plan our annual trip to see Thomas the Tank Engine this Memorial Day weekend and the following week because Savannah was enrolled for swim lessons at the Bragg Swim School. She started her lessons on Memorial Day and she went everyday for two weeks (Mon-Fri). The classes were 30 minutes long and there were a total of 6 kids in her class. The first day was a nightmare...evidently Savannah cried most of the time. After that, she did really well. Her biggest fear had been of going to the deep end; by the end of the first week they were lining up to go off the diving board! We have been enjoying time at Roger and Toni's pool after swim lessons so that Jeff could work with her on her fears.

I have put together a short video of Savannah at the pool, hopefully this will give you an idea of what she is up to!
